Endowment for Excellence Fund

The Endowment for Excellence Fund was created by the Most Reverend Thomas C. Kelly, Archbishop of Louisville, who founded the Catholic Education Foundation in 1995. As part of an archdiocesan-wide appeal, the Endowment for Excellence was originally funded with nearly $16 million as a means to perpetuate the mission of the organization.

Today, this fund remains the Foundation’s single-largest named endowment fund and has provided millions in tuition assistance to Catholic school families in need across central Kentucky.
